The Coalition for Aquatic Programs and Sports (CAPS) is the voice for aquatic resources and programming in Boulder County, CO. We proactively advocate for aquatic facilities and programs that serve the community’s needs for aquatic exercise, education (swim lessons, water safety, ecology, etc.) competition and recreation.
We seek to work with all stakeholder groups, especially those focused on serving BoCo youth, to leverage limited resources that will provide the most useable aquatic facilities and programming for our community.
One of our key stretch goals is to build a competition natatorium in Boulder County for aquatic programming needs that currently cannot be accommodated such as large swim meets, synchronized swimming events, and water polo competitions.
Our observation is that the tax base of individual BoCo municipalities (Cities of Boulder, Louisville, Superior and Lafayette) is sub-optimal for building and maintaining a BoCo-wide natatorium.
We have been developing a plan that the community will accept and financially support.
The BoCo CAPS is an all-volunteer organization and we welcome your contributions to help achieve these goals.
Please show your support by signing up to receive emails. The more supporters we have, the more clout we have.
There is no cost to be a BoCo CAPS supporter, nor do you need to attend any meetings.
You will receive infrequent announcements – only if you give us your e-mail address.
